These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Microscope application ("the App") published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Microscope is an iOS application that turns your iPhone camera into a digital microscope and magnifying glass. Features include ultra-smooth zoom up to 25x, real-time camera filters (high contrast, inverted colors, edge detection, and more), image capture and gallery, and side-by-side comparison mode.
2. Important Limitations
The App is a digital magnification tool for general use. You understand and agree that:
- The App uses digital zoom and is not a replacement for professional optical microscopes or scientific instruments.
- Magnification levels are approximate and should not be relied upon for precise measurements.
- Filter effects are for visual enhancement only and do not alter the underlying image data.
- The App is not a medical or diagnostic tool and should not be used for health-related decisions.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the App to photograph people without their consent
- Use the App in a manner that violates applicable laws or privacy regulations
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or free tier limitations
4. Subscriptions & Billing
- Free tier: Available at no cost with up to 10x zoom, 5 saved captures, and basic filters.
- Pro Monthly: $2.99/month for maximum zoom, unlimited captures, all filters, comparison mode, and no ads.
- Pro Annual: $19.99/year (save 44%) with a 7-day free trial.
- Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
5. User Content
Captured images are stored locally on your device. You retain all rights to images you capture using the App. We do not access, collect, or store your captures on any server.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Bulpara Inc and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BULPARA INC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Decisions made based on magnified images
- Inaccurate zoom levels or measurements
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Device battery or storage impact from app usage
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bulpara Inc from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the business.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
